April 2 is fast approaching and we are in the final stage of selecting some of our members for our annual award. If you have any suggestions please contact us at our aol email address (at the bottom of our main website) as soon as possible.
Like many other autistic people we don’t like to call it “Autism Awareness Day” because awareness doesn’t include love and acceptance and even worse it could be interpreted negatively by people who oppose autism. For this reason, some people prefer to call it “Autism Acceptance Day”, but we thought we would like to call it “Autism Love and Acceptance Day” because acceptance is certainly good, but without love it puts the accepted person in an awkward position. Love is always the answer.
